Help/Connect Vesta to Claude, ChatGPT and other AIs

Connect the MCP connector

The MCP connector lets an AI assistant work directly on your Vesta materials: search and read them, create full sets (sections, maps, formulas, timelines, tables, flashcards, quizzes), edit or delete blocks, rename materials, check your plan and credits and use Vesta AI (1 credit per request). It is included in Vesta Pro.

The URL is always the same: https://studio.withvesta.it/api/mcp. You find it, with a copy button, in the MCP section of the sidebar. No keys needed: you sign in with your Vesta login.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile) - Open Settings → Connectors. - Press Add custom connector. - Name: Vesta. URL: https://studio.withvesta.it/api/mcp. - Press Add, then Connect. - Vesta opens: sign in and press Allow. - In a new chat open the + → Connectors menu and check that Vesta is on.

A connector added on the web also works in the desktop and mobile apps.

Claude Code - In the terminal run: `claude mcp add --transport http vesta https://studio.withvesta.it/api/mcp` - Start `claude`, type `/mcp`, pick vesta and finish signing in in the browser.

ChatGPT - You need a plan that allows custom connectors (the options change often: if you don't see the steps below, your plan doesn't have them yet). - Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode. - Go back to Apps & Connectors and press Create. - Name: Vesta. URL: https://studio.withvesta.it/api/mcp. Authentication: OAuth. - Confirm, sign in to Vesta and press Allow. - In a new chat pick Vesta from the + menu.

Other apps (Cursor, VS Code, Le Chat, etc.) - Look in the settings for the option to add a remote MCP server (sometimes called connector or integration). - Use the same URL. If it asks for a transport, pick HTTP (streamable HTTP). - If the app uses a config file, add a `vesta` server with `"url": "https://studio.withvesta.it/api/mcp"`.

Updates When Vesta adds or improves tools you don't need to reconnect: just open a new chat.

What to ask - "Search my history notes for the French Revolution." - "Create a Vesta set from this PDF, with a map per section and a quiz at the end." - "Add a section on electromagnetism to my physics set."
