Vesta or Knowunity? Shared notes and a chat tutor versus your own materials
Knowunity focuses on other students' content, flashcards, quizzes and a chat tutor. Vesta works on your materials. The differences, plainly.
Knowunity and Vesta are both built for students, but they start from opposite points: Knowunity from content and people, Vesta from your material.
What Knowunity states
- AI-generated flashcards and quizzes, an always-available chat tutor, personalised study plans and mock exams.
- Content from “Creators” you can follow; the page says all content in the app is free and that Knowunity Premium exists.
- The page does not mention summaries or concept maps and shows no price.
What Vesta does
- Works on your materials: PDFs, photos, Word, PowerPoint, links or a topic.
- A set with a chapter summary, concept map, flashcards, quiz and questions and answers, editable by hand.
- Cascade outline, reading voice and high readability for dyslexia.
- Free €0, Plus €7.49 and Pro €10.99 a month; credits refunded if a generation fails.
When to choose one or the other
- Knowunity if you look for ready-made content from other students, a tutor to ask questions and guided study plans.
- Vesta if your exam has specific slides and handouts and you want to turn them into a complete set that you check and correct.
A good rule: if the material you need already exists, use it; if it is yours, have it generated and check it. See also how to choose a study app.
