Vesta or Algor Education? Differences, prices and which to choose
Two Italian platforms that create maps, summaries, flashcards and quizzes with AI. What Algor states, what Vesta does and who each one suits.
Algor Education and Vesta do something similar: they turn a text or a topic into study material with artificial intelligence. Below you find what Algor says on its public pages and what Vesta does, so you can choose with the data in front of you.
What Algor states
- Tools: AI-generated concept maps, summaries, flashcards and quizzes.
- Plans: a Free plan and paid plans. On the plans screen, billed monthly, Pro is €9.99 a month and Ultra €14.99 a month; annual billing shows a 35% discount.
- Ultra: 2,000 credits a month, over 130 AI-created contents a month, unlimited podcasts up to 20 minutes, over 33 hours of transcriptions a month, unlimited print and export.
- Free plan: 30 AI credits and a 15,000-character limit per text (from the website FAQ).
- The website also lists print and export and text-to-speech. We do not list the cheapest paid plan because its figure should be checked in the app at the time of purchase.
What Vesta does
- One set with a chapter summary, map, flashcards, quiz and questions and answers, all editable by hand.
- Plans: Free €0 (5 credits, 10 documents), Plus €7.49 (150 credits), Pro €10.99 (500 credits, unlimited documents), paid monthly.
- The cost of each generation is stated before you press Generate (from 1 to 5 credits) and credits are refunded if it fails.
- Upload PDFs, photos, Word, PowerPoint, links; cascade outline, reading voice and YouTube videos on the Pro plan.
- High-readability mode with Nunito on every plan.
The price, honestly
Billed monthly, Algor's Pro (€9.99) costs less than Vesta's Pro (€10.99), and Ultra (€14.99) offers far more credits and features Vesta does not have, such as podcasts and transcriptions. The credits comparison is not like for like though: the two services consume them differently, so 2,000 Algor credits and 500 Vesta credits do not convert in a simple ratio. Before subscribing, try the free plan with the same chapter and see how many credits it uses.
When to choose one or the other
- Choose Algor if you need a lot of volume, podcasts or transcriptions of recorded lectures, or if its €9.99 Pro covers what you do.
- Choose Vesta if you want a complete set in one document, to know the cost of each generation in advance, to correct maps and texts by hand and to have high readability on every plan.
